Project Description
Paint and Handy had the pleasure of contributing to the vibrant and bustling Borough Market Food Festival at London Bridge by painting display names and sanding and decorating MDF tables. Our goal was to enhance the visual appeal and functionality of the festival setup, creating an inviting and professional atmosphere for vendors and visitors alike.
Collaborating with the festival organisers, we painted the display names that reflected the unique identities while maintaining a cohesive look for the event. This involved choosing fonts, colours, and styles that aligned with the overall festival theme.
Each display name was carefully prepared, primed, and painted with high-quality paints to ensure durability and vibrant colours. The paints used were weather-resistant to withstand the market conditions and frequent handling.
The MDF tables provided for the vendors were first sanded to create a smooth, even surface, removing any imperfections and preparing them for decoration. This step was crucial to ensure the paint adhered properly and the final finish was flawless. Once sanded, the tables were painted using durable, food-safe paints suitable for outdoor use. Various decorative techniques were employed, including stencilling and custom designs that reflected the festive atmosphere of the market.
To ensure the tables could withstand heavy use and exposure to the elements, they were finished with a clear protective coat. This coating provided an extra layer of durability, ensuring the tables remained in excellent condition throughout the festival and beyond.
