Project Description
Paint and Handy was engaged to transform a 15-metre timber fence at a private residence in East Dulwich, delivering a fresh and elegant upgrade to the outdoor boundary. The client sought a crisp, vibrant finish that would elevate the garden aesthetics while also standing up to the elements.
The work was carried out by a two-person team over two days, beginning with detailed sanding to ensure smooth, clean timber surfaces free from debris, flaking, or weathering.
Once prepared, the fence was coated with Zinsser Cover Stain Primer (5L) — a powerful oil-based primer chosen for its superior adhesion, stain-blocking qualities, and compatibility with the topcoat.
For the final finish, Ronseal Fence Life Plus in Teal (20L) was applied using a spray system. This method allowed for a consistent and seamless coat across all panels and posts, avoiding brush marks and ensuring coverage even in recessed and grooved areas. The selected Teal shade brings a modern yet natural tone that harmonises with the surrounding greenery.
To maintain a professional result, all adjacent surfaces, including brick edging and garden features, were carefully masked and protected. The job was completed with clean lines, solid coverage, and a flawless sheen, adding long-lasting visual appeal and weather resistance.
