Project Description
Paint and Handy completed a comprehensive seven-day redecoration project for a one-bedroom flat in Crystal Palace, delivering a fresh, bright, and cohesive interior finish throughout the property.
Paint Specification:
Ceilings: Dulux Vinyl Matt White
Bedroom walls: Dulux Vinyl Matt – First Dawn
Living room & corridor walls: Dulux Vinyl Matt – Orchid White
Kitchen walls: Dulux Vinyl Matt – Vanilla Sundae
Bathroom walls: Dulux Gentle Fawn
Woodwork: Dulux Satinwood Quick Dry
The project began with thorough preparation works, ensuring all walls, ceilings, and woodwork were properly repaired, filled, and sanded to achieve a smooth and durable base for decoration. Careful attention was given to maintaining clean lines and protecting existing fixtures and flooring during the works.
The decorative scheme was carefully tailored to suit each space within the flat, with colour choices selected not just for appearance, but for how each room is used and experienced. Ceilings were finished in Dulux Vinyl Matt White, enhancing natural light and creating a clean, open feel.

In the kitchen, Vanilla Sundae added a soft, uplifting tone, and the bathroom was finished in Dulux Gentle Fawn, delivering a subtle and contemporary finish suitable for moisture-prone areas. Our focus on surface preparation, clean lines, and long-lasting results ensures a superior finish that stands out from standard decorating work.
All woodwork, including skirting boards, architraves, and door frames, was painted with Dulux Satinwood Quick Dry, resulting in a crisp, durable, and refined appearance throughout.
In addition to the decorative works, we installed two Xpelair 100mm pull-cord extractor fans to improve ventilation and air quality, along with Sofia twin bar spotlights, enhancing both functionality and lighting aesthetics within the flat.
