Scope of Work

- Thorough cleaning and washing of bathroom ceiling to remove dirt, grease, and contaminants.
- Application of 1 coat of Zinsser B-I-N Primer to seal stains and provide maximum adhesion.
- Application of 2 coats of Zinsser Perma-White Anti-Mould Paint for a moisture-resistant finish.
- Careful cutting-in and finishing around all fixtures, fittings, and architectural details.
Project Description
Paint and Handy recently completed a comprehensive interior redecoration project for a customer in Isle of Dogs, delivering a high-quality finish across the bedroom, studio, and bathroom over a two-day period. Considering the scale of work, we as a two-man team worked the project combining premium decorating products with meticulous preparation to achieve a clean, durable, and contemporary finish throughout the property.
The project began with careful protection of all flooring, fixtures, furniture, and sanitaryware to ensure the home remained clean and undamaged throughout the works. Every surface was thoroughly inspected before decoration commenced, with minor imperfections filled, sanded, and caulked where required to provide a perfectly smooth base for painting.
In the bedroom, the walls were finished in Farrow & Ball Dayroom Yellow (Modern Emulsion), creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while maintaining the elegant depth of colour that Farrow & Ball paints are known for.
The ceiling was refreshed using Dulux Super Matt White, providing a flawless, low-reflective finish that complements the natural light within the room. All woodwork, including skirting boards, door frames, and architraves, was finished with Dulux Diamond Eggshell Pure Brilliant White, offering exceptional durability and a crisp, contemporary appearance.
The studio received a complete redecoration with Dulux Super Matt White applied to both the walls and ceiling, creating a bright and versatile space suitable for both work and relaxation. Matching Dulux Diamond Eggshell Pure Brilliant White was applied to all woodwork, ensuring continuity throughout the property while providing a hard-wearing finish capable of withstanding everyday use.
As part of the project, the bathroom ceiling required specialist treatment due to the humid environment. Existing deteriorated sealant was carefully removed before the ceiling was thoroughly cleaned to eliminate dirt, residue, and any traces of mould.
A full coat of Zinsser B-I-N Primer was then applied to seal the surface, block stains, and provide superior adhesion. Once cured, the ceiling received two coats of Zinsser Perma-White Anti-Mould Paint, a premium coating specifically designed to resist moisture, mould, and mildew while maintaining a clean white finish in high-humidity environments.
The project required sharp cutting-in, even paint coverage, clean brushwork, and we ensured every surface achieved the best. On completion, the property was carefully cleaned, inspected, and handed over to the client.
