Project Description
Paint and Handy recently completed a three-day interior redecoration and feature wallpaper project for a customer at Greenwich Peninsula. The project focused on refreshing the corridor and creating striking feature walls within the bedroom and entrance, combining premium Farrow & Ball finishes with bespoke Photowall wallpaper.
The project began with careful preparation of the working areas, including protecting floors, doors, furniture, and surrounding surfaces to ensure the property remained clean and protected throughout the works. All surfaces were inspected and prepared before decoration, with attention given to achieving clean edges, smooth transitions, and a professional finish around doors, architraves, skirting boards, and other detailed areas.
The corridor ceiling was finished using Farrow & Ball All White No. 2005 Estate Emulsion, providing a soft, clean finish that complements the natural light within the space.
The corridor walls were decorated in Farrow & Ball Skimming Stone, creating a warm, sophisticated neutral that works particularly well with the white architectural details and the feature wallpaper used elsewhere in the property.
All corridor woodwork, including doors, architraves, and skirting boards, was finished in Farrow & Ball All White No. 2005 Modern Eggshell. The durable eggshell finish provides a crisp contrast against the walls while offering excellent resistance to everyday wear and making the woodwork easier to maintain.
A key element of the project was the installation of Photowall feature wallpaper in both the bedroom and entrance area.
The wallpaper installation required careful preparation and precise positioning to ensure the large-scale decorative pattern aligned correctly across the wall surfaces. Particular attention was given to the joins, corners, edges, and areas around doors and switches to achieve a seamless and professionally finished appearance.
The bedroom feature wall creates a strong focal point behind the bed, while the continuation of the decorative wallpaper treatment into the entrance adds character and creates a clear visual connection between the spaces.
Throughout the three-day project, Paint and Handy maintained a strong focus on preparation, accuracy, and attention to detail.
