Project Description
Paint and Handy carried out front door restoration work in East Dulwich, transforming the traditional, worn timber entrance with an elegant finish and durable fittings, all completed within a single day.
The client sought to enhance the home’s exterior aesthetic with a rich, period-appropriate colour and premium brass fittings.
The door was first cleaned, sanded, and fully prepped to achieve a smooth base. Using Farrow & Ball’s Reduced Green No. 313 in an Exterior Eggshell finish, the surface was hand-painted in multiple coats, providing a deep, matte sheen that complements the home’s character and offers superior weather resistance.
To complete the look, new Heritage Brass by M Marcus fittings were installed, including a 254 x 79mm Antique Brass letter plate and a Whitehall Mortice door knob with a 62mm rose diameter. Both fittings were aligned with precision to ensure seamless operation and a balanced visual finish.
