Project Description

For bespoke painting, cabinetry refinishing, or complete room transformations across London, Paint and Handy delivers exceptional results every time. Paint and Handy completed a two-day living room transformation in Catford, focusing on the precise redecoration of built-in cabinets, shelving, and the surrounding wall surfaces. The brief was to move away from traditional creams, greys, and whites and introduce a bold, confident colour that would redefine the space. The feature wall housing the television, along with its integrated shelving and cabinetry, was finished in the same tone to create a cohesive look with clean, sharp lines, resulting in a refined backdrop that is both visually striking and perfectly suited for comfortable television viewing.
All cabinetry and shelving were thoroughly sanded to ensure a smooth, even base before painting. We then applied one coat of undercoat, followed by three coats of COAT “Next Tuesday” Eggshell, delivering a durable, refined finish to the woodwork. Precision application using a combination of rollers and brushes ensured crisp edges, consistent coverage, and a professional result across all detailed surfaces.
 
The living room walls were painted in COAT “Next Tuesday” Vinyl Matt, creating a seamless connection between the cabinetry and the surrounding space. Using the same tone in different finishes added depth and cohesion while allowing the woodwork to stand out subtly against the walls.
